On Thursday July 5th, a fundraiser was held to raise funds to help former Canadian Idol contestant Vince Benenati who’s battling a rare form of cancer. After numerous bouts with chemotherapy and radiation, as well as, stem cell surgery, the cancer was back. His only option is a new drug still in clinical trials, but each injection costs $14,000 and he needs a minimum of six. A Night of Hope – held at Chateau Le Jardin Banquet Hall in Woodbridge with over 1,000 guests in attendance – was a success and brought in over $100,000.
